Job Description: Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) – Fire Protection

Role Overview

The Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) shall support the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems such as sprinklers, hydrants, pumps, and suppression equipment. The role requires close collaboration with senior engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure that fire safety systems meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and drafting of fire protection systems (sprinkler layouts, hydrant networks, pump systems).
• Support hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing for fire suppression systems.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of fire protection installations.
• Prepare technical drawings, reports, and documentation in compliance with NFPA, FM Global, and local fire codes.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor system performance and assist in troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, statutory requirements, and client specifications.
• Provide technical support during audits, certifications, and fire safety inspections.
