Assistant Director (Research)
In This Role, You Will
  • Lead in the conduct of scanning and research into emerging technologies (for example Quantum, synthetic biotechnology, new space) and technology‑related issues, such as research/industry trends, applications, norms and geostrategic developments, that can impact technology development for the Defence Technology Community (DTC).
  • Engage with thought leaders across government, industry and academia to curate insights on interest topics.
  • Lead the assessments from research, including potential options or approaches on technology‑related issues, to inform senior leadership.
Job Requirements
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Fluent in English – able to write technology primers and articles to inform DTC; and prepare and conduct presentations well in English.

Successful candidates will be offered a 2‑year contract.
