Job description

The Office of Digital Empowerment is dedicated to revolutionising SingHealth's healthcare ecosystem through innovative digital technologies, enhancing patient care and operational efficiency whilst fostering innovation and collaboration.

The Assistant Director implements SingHealth's digital empowerment strategy by designing digital literacy programmes, managing the Digital Champions network, and driving digital tool adoption. This role develops KPIs, oversees change management, and collaborates with senior leadership to align digital initiatives with organisational strategies while enhancing staff digital competencies across SingHealth.

As the Assistant Director, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Execute digital empowerment strategies and develop capability building plans across assigned institutions. Manage large-scale digital adoption programmes and lead change management initiatives at cluster level.
  • Oversee the internal Digital Champions network and conduct engagement workshops.
  • Implement innovative approaches such as gamification and peer-to-peer learning to accelerate digital adoption.
  • Establish Digital Competency Centre/Centre of Excellence and coordinate with Division of Digital Strategy teams to ensure alignment of initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend digital platforms while implementing metrics and KPIs for empowerment initiatives.
  • Engage Department/Specialty Leads to understand user needs and drive implementation of new digital healthcare concepts across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Develop digital empowerment content including e-learning modules and workshops. Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Proof of Values (POVs) for digital innovations.
  • Represent the Office of Digital Empowerment in taskforces and committees
  • Maintain relationships with external partners and experts to support digital empowerment initiatives within assigned scope
  • Manage the budget and resources for assigned digital empowerment projects or areas.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and assess viability for adoption to address healthcare challenges.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree will be an advantage
  • At least 10 -12 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years of managerial or supervisory experience
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with ability to engage senior organisational members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills across all staff levels including medical, nursing, allied health, and administrative personnel.
  • Self-directed with commitment to continuous learning and technological advancement.
