Job summary

A fast-growing bakery brand in Singapore is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee and strengthen its retail operations. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in multi-outlet F&B or retail operations, strong leadership skills, and a focus on operational discipline. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, managing staff, driving sales performance, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations. This position requires a hands-on approach and willingness to work weekends and public holidays.

Job description

We are a fast-growing bakery brand with multiple outlets across Singapore. s we continue to expand, we are looking for a capable and hands‑on Area Manager to oversee and strengthen our retail operations.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in multi‑outlet F&B or retail operations

  • Prior experience as Area Manager / Operations Manager preferred

  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, SOPs, cash control, and manpower management

  • Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and firm with operational discipline

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills

  • Comfortable working on weekends, public holidays, and making site visits

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Performance

  1. Oversee daily operations of assigned bakery outlets to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant operations
  2. Drive sales performance, productivity, and profitability across all assigned stores
  3. Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, food safety, cash handling, POS procedures, and company policies
  4. Conduct regular store audits, spot checks, and operational reviews

People Management

  1. Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and outlet teams
  2. Ensure proper manpower planning, scheduling, and staff deployment
  3. Monitor staff performance, discipline, and attendance; address misconduct promptly and fairly
  4. Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of outlet staff

Financial & Compliance Control

  1. Monitor daily sales, cash reconciliation, stock usage, and variance reports
  2. Investigate discrepancies, shrinkage, and operational issues; implement corrective actions
  3. Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, hygiene standards, and landlord requirements

Customer Experience & Brand Standards

  1. Maintain high standards of product quality, presentation, and service consistency
  2. Handle escalated customer complaints professionally and promptly
  3. Ensure brand standards are upheld across all outlet
