Job summary

A construction company in Singapore is seeking an experienced architectural professional to oversee the quality and progress of architectural works. You will assist the Project Manager with scheduling, review architectural drawings, and coordinate with consultants to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Architecture and has at least 3 years of experience in an architectural or construction setting. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of architectural construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the progress and quality of architectural works.
  • Assisting the Project Manager in scheduling and planning.
  • Reviewing architectural drawings alongside structural and M&E drawings.
  • Supporting the Site Quantity Surveyor in determining finishing materials.
  • Conducting regular progress meetings with subcontractors.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for overseeing the progress and quality of all architectural works.
  • Assist the Project Manager in scheduling and planning for the calling of quotations from subcontractors and material suppliers.
  • Ensure that all drawings and information issued for quotations accurately reflect site requirements and any updates from clients or consultants; prepare additional sketches or drawings when needed for clarification.
  • Review architectural drawings alongside structural and M&E drawings to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with consultants to address design conflicts and keep the Project Manager and Contracts team updated on any variations from the original specifications or drawings.
  • Ensure that all trades work in the correct sequence and follow proper dimensions, alignment, levels, and set-out.
  • Support the Site Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager in determining required finishing materials (e.g., tiles) for quotation requests and awarding to suppliers or vendors.
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure timely delivery of materials and plan appropriate storage space.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and support subcontractors on all work-related matters by conducting regular progress meetings.
  • Assign responsibilities to architectural supervisors and track their progress to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks.
  • Attend consultant site meetings, technical meetings, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in an architectural firm or construction company.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in relevant architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
