Job summary

A construction company based in Singapore is seeking an Architectural Drafter to report on the progress of architectural work and ensure quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and a minimum of 3 years of experience in maincon companies. Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit, and BIM is essential. The role requires strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a bilingual environment (English and Mandarin).

Job description

Responsibilities

• Report to Project Manager the progress of architectural work.
• Interpret construction drawings for any discrepancies, and propose alternative material/work method for architectural work.
• Understand specifications, drawings, scope and sequence of work.
• To develop a schedule program for the commencement and completion of all architectural works to tie in with master schedule.
• To coordinate monitor and control Architectural subcontractor’s progress and quality of work, and ensure quality assurance.
• To coordinate subcontractors’ work so that there are no conflicts amongst different subcontractors.
• Liaise with suppliers on items needed for the project and plan the delivery schedule. Ensure timely delivery of materials to site.
• Submission to consultants for materials, shop drawings and method statement approval before commencement of work.
• Arrange for architectural samples, testing for consultant’s approval. Liaise with consultants to resolve technical and detailing issue.
• Assist Project Manager in compilation of handing-over documents including as-built drawing.

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 year(s) of experience as Architectural Drafter in maincon companies.
• Ability to use AutoCad, Revit, BIM, Microsoft Project, and other digital tools.
• Good communication and analytical skills, able to interact with people of all levels.
• Bilingual in English & Mandarin in order to communicate with Chinese speaking counterparts.
