Job Scope
- The Architectural Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all architectural works to ensure timely project delivery with high-quality standards.
- This role involves close collaboration with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that architectural elements are executed according to specifications, design intent, and project schedule.
Job Description
- Develop and maintain the architectural work schedule to align with the overall master project timeline.
- Coordinate, monitor, and control the progress and quality of architectural subcontractors' work.
- Ensure smooth coordination among various subcontractors to avoid site conflicts.
- Delegate tasks to site personnel and monitor work performance.
- Liaise with suppliers on material requirements, specifications, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and submit materials, shop drawings, and method statements for consultant approval prior to work commencement.
- Arrange trade demonstrations and material testing for consultant evaluation and approval.
- Ensure timely delivery and installation of approved architectural materials and products.
- Work closely with consultants to resolve technical and detailing issues.
- Attend project coordination and technical meetings.
- Report project progress and key issues to the Project Manager regularly.
- Assist the Quantity Surveyor in verifying subcontractor claims and progress payments.
- Support the Quality Team in preparing documentation for CONQUAS 21 or Quality Mark assessment.
- Assist in the compilation of handover documents, including as-built drawings and completion reports.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain site safety and health compliance.
- Liaise with consultants, including RE/RTO, to ensure quality standards and inspection requirements are met.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to contract specifications, quality standards, and approved drawings.
- Review any deviations from specified procedures and ensure compliance with regulations and design intent.
- Inspect and verify completed works for conformity with specifications.
- Maintain strong communication with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Control and monitor material usage, plant and equipment deployment, and utilities consumption.
- Manage direct labor resources efficiently, including manpower allocation and overtime control.
- Interpret construction drawings accurately and identify any discrepancies.
- Propose alternative materials or construction methods where applicable to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Skills Requirement
- Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with A&A (Addition & Alteration) projects.
- Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, construction processes, and contractual procedures.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate site works effectively.
- Independent, proactive, and results-driven with a strong sense of commitment and urgency.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude.
