Qualifications

Job description

Role:

• To support Sales in all technical and product promotion activities including but not limited to offer preparation, product selection, technical discussions, conducting trainings etc.
• To act as a bridge between Sales & Engineering

Responsibilities:

Technical discussions and presentations

• Participates Sales in technical discussions with customers for Projects, special engineered applications, competitor conversions, retrofits, upgrades etc.
• Conducts presentations and customer trainings as and when required.

Offer Preparation & Product Selection*

• Analyzes provided technical information to select an adequate solution for the customer‘s application, makes recommendations for mechanical seals and sealing systems.
• Receives, reviews & processes inquiries/customer orders, ensures that technical specifications are in accordance with the offer.
• Assists Sales in the promotion, selling and servicing of our products in the local market, consistent with the objectives of the company and the customer requirements.
• Prepares technical proposals, reviews technical details of purchase orders, pump & seal datasheets and works closely with Sales & Service and Design departments, to keep the timeline.
• Creation of technical drawings/draft.

Trouble-shooting assistance

• Provide assistance in troubleshooting of seals & systems where additional expertise/help may be required by the Service team. (primary responsibility of trouble-shooting remains with Service)

Documentation

• Develops and maintains installed-base lists, case-studies, success stories and presentations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering OR Bachelor`s degree in Engineering
• Knowledge of sealing technologies and its associated equipment
• Understanding the selection of mechanical seals for different applications
• Good inter-personal skills
• Good presentation skills
• Good analytical skills
• Good intercultural understanding across countries, good English language skills, willing for local and international business trips

Preferred:

>3+ years of experience in rotating equipment
• Advanced knowledge in mechanical sealing technology
• Good exposure to competitor products
• Exposure to trouble-shooting
• Strong communication skills and a Team-player mindset
• Excellent convincing skills and pleasant personality with a constructive technical sales approach, brings solutions on the table to help resolve & retain difficult customers
• Proficiency in Microsoft office programs, Word, Excel, Teams, ppt and Outlook.
• Experience with SAP software
