Job summary

A prominent banking institution in Singapore is seeking a Deposit Group Analyst to manage and oversee deposit operations. This role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining internal controls, and enhancing customer service. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related fields, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience in deposits or branch banking. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Power Query, are preferred.

Job description

The Deposit Group Analyst is responsible for managing and overseeing the deposit operations with a strong focus on risk management, service governance, and customer service excellence. This role requires ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining effective internal controls, supporting new product initiatives, and continuously improving deposit operation processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring efficient execution of offshored processes, overseeing service level agreements, and quality standards.
  • Managing and mitigating risks associated with customer instructions / transactions.
  • Accurate processing of various instructions adhere to banking regulations, policies and service level agreements to maintain operational excellence.
  • Assist and support inquiries and ensuring positive customer experience.
  • New Product Discussion and Process Improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field and/or minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in deposits/branch banking
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit initiative to raise issues to direct manager / management and the ability to deliver value added support, identify problems & propose solutions.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Exhibit a strong and thorough understanding of risk & control, service oversight and customer / banking service.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements governing customer account.
  • Excellent communication with experience in operation process improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially MS Power Query) are added advantages.
