Job summary

A leading aerospace maintenance firm in Singapore is seeking candidates with experience in aircraft spray painting and maintenance. Responsibilities include understanding aircraft components, maintaining equipment, and performing sanding and painting tasks. Candidates should possess attention to detail, communication skills in English, and the ability to work shifts when necessary. This role is ideal for those with a strong background in aerospace components and familiarity with Component Maintenance Manuals.

Qualifications

  • Preferably with spray painting experience in Aerospace component MRO environment.
  • Ability to write and converse in English.
  • Attentive to details and ability to understand Component Maintenance Manuals.
  • Able to perform shiftwork on rotational basis, if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of how aircraft works (Aerodynamic).
  • Important of Aircraft Control surface, Antenna, Pitot Static port if damaged by sanding or paint.
  • Understanding the type of Equipment work and function.
  • Able to maintain the Equipment in good condition.
  • Perform basic sanding and painting skills.
  • Chemical paint stripping of aircraft parts.

Responsibilities
  • Understanding of how aircraft works (Aerodynamic)
  • Important of Aircraft Control surface, Antenna, Pitot Static port if damage by sanding or paint.
  • Aircraft part that do and DO NOT paint Eg Altimeter. Pitot static port
  • Type of paint used on aircraft and aircraft parts. Eg Teflon paint, Anti-static paint for radome etc.
  • Understanding Paint TDS and MSDS
  • Importance of Fuselage scribe / scrap mark that may damage to the aircraft during removal of sealant. Only use approved type for sealant removal tools.
  • Type of aircraft structure. Eg Aluminium and composite prior to painting.
  • The Safety requirement in Hangar. PPE and aircraft safety
  • Understanding the type of Equipment work and function. Eg Spray gun and sanding tools.
  • Able to maintain the Equipment in good condition
  • Basic sanding and painting skill
  • Chemical paint stripping of aircraft parts
  • Understanding the need of water break test and alodine
  • Possess WAH and scissor lift licence (Tele Platform optional) will be an advantage
  • Understanding the importance of Aircraft mandatory marking. Eg registration number “Cut here in emergency”
