The Role
The AI Solutions Engineer is a dual‑impact role. You will bridge technical expertise with business needs by supporting the pre‑sales team in designing custom architectures, and then lead or contribute to the actual implementation of those AI solutions post‑sales.
This 1‑year trainee role is designed to transform technical graduates into end‑to‑end AI specialists who can handle everything from requirement gathering and ethical advising to cloud deployment and model maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Pre‑Sales & Solution Design
- Partner with Sales to understand client workflows, data security needs, and ethical AI considerations.
- Design AI‑centric system architectures using tools like Figma, Draw.io, or Confluence.
- Propose cloud‑based (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI) or on‑premise solutions tailored to client constraints.
AI Implementation & Development
- Implement solutions using Python and advanced models (e.g., D‑FINE, Whisper, Deepseek, Qwen).
- Lead model training and fine‑tuning using frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, utilizing Tictag’s proprietary data pipelines.
- Integrate AI models into functional applications, ensuring they meet scalability and security standards.
Lifecycle Management & Support
- Manage the full AI lifecycle using the CRISP‑DM framework.
- Monitor model performance (drift detection) and perform re‑validations post‑deployment.
- Provide structured technical support and troubleshooting via Jira Service Desk.
Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Residency: Must be a Singapore Citizen.
- Commitment: Able to commit to completing the full 1‑year training programme (for fresh graduates), and 6 month training programme (for mid‑career professionals).
- Hiring Standards: Able to meet the specific hiring requirements of Tictag.
Academic & Technical Foundation
- Education: Diploma or ITE graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Technical Foundation: Proficiency in Python is highly preferred; familiarity with JavaScript and Git is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical specs.
Training & Development
Over the course of 1 year, you will undergo a rigorous development path:
- Certified External Training: Comprehensive modules from AI Singapore covering the AI Project Lifecycle, Machine Learning Basics, and AI Ethics.
- Tictag In‑House AI Workshops:

- Application testing best practices (Web and Mobile).
- Global Project Exposure: Hands‑on involvement in regional projects, such as:
- Japan: AI for bakery inventory and operations scheduling.
- Vietnam: 3D reconstruction of drone footage for mining progress estimation.
- Singapore: Customer journey tracking for furniture retail layout optimization.
Conditions of Application
