As an AI Accountant, you will blend traditional accounting responsibilities with the use and oversight of artificial intelligence and automation tools to streamline financial processes. You will help maintain accurate financial records, generate insights from data, and ensure compliance, while leveraging AI-powered systems to improve productivity, reduce errors, and enhance reporting quality. This role is ideal for accounting professionals who are passionate about technology and data-driven finance.

AI-Augmented Accounting & Automation

• Use and monitor AI-based accounting tools to automate routine tasks such as data entry, bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and ledger updates.
• Train, calibrate, and troubleshoot AI models and rules to ensure accurate categorisation and financial data quality.

Core Accounting Functions

• Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, and ledgers.
• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in GST/sales tax preparation, filing, and compliance.

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Analyse financial data generated by AI systems to deliver business insights and trends.
• Generate dashboards, variance analyses, and customised reports for stakeholders.

Governance, Controls & Compliance

• Ensure AI-driven accounting processes comply with Singapore accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Identify risks or anomalies indicated by automated tools and escalate as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with finance, IT, and business teams to integrate AI workflows and enhance financial systems.
• Provide training and support to junior staff on AI accounting tools and best practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools (e.g., AI-powered accounting platforms, OCR, ML-assisted systems).
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
