About the Role

As a Senior Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the maintenance, repair, and operational functionality of aircraft hydraulic systems. You will utilise your expert technical knowledge and hands-on skills to ensure that all mechanical equipment and components meet stringent industry standards and safety requirements. This position requires proactive problem-solving abilities to diagnose issues efficiently and implement effective solutions, thereby contributing directly to the reliability and safety of aerospace operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake complex mechanical maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs directly on aerospace machinery and systems, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and sharing technical expertise to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, and operational teams to optimise maintenance protocols and to support ongoing engineering projects.
  • Analyse technical data and documentation to recommend improvements in mechanical systems or maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using company internal reporting systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and safety standards within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety policies, promoting a safe work environment for all team members.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant technical qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Technology, or a closely related field.
