About the role

We are looking for an Advisor Invoicing to join Commercial Services in Singapore.

The Commercial Services team is responsible for Contract-to-Cash (CTC) activities for the sales of all materials across the Pacific and Atlantic regions. Partnering with business units (BUs) and other centralized functions, Commercial Services ensures appropriate credit risk mitigation tools are in place, commercial invoices and associated shipping, logistics, or other relevant documents are produced and presented to trade banks and customers in a timely and accurate manner to maintain uninterrupted cash flow.

This role is a great opportunity for a professional eager to take on end-to-end oversight of our invoicing process, with strong knowledge of the CTC process for Rio Tinto’s materials and motivated to partner with stakeholders for successful business outcomes.

  • Oversee billing documents prepared by the Group Services CTC team and step in to assist with preparation when required.
  • Act as a key point of contact to ensure clear communication and smooth coordination between Commercial Services, Group Services CTC, and other stakeholders such as Treasury, Credit, and Sales teams.
  • Translate new business ideas and initiatives into practical processes for the Group Services CTC team to execute effectively.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to the Group Services CTC team to promote learning and engagement.
  • Source and report on operational invoicing matters, including SLA performance.

  • Support business process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and stakeholder experience.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ensure compliance with Rio Tinto policies and relevant CTC SOx and business controls.
  • Contribute to and support the Modern Enterprise Resource Planning (MERP) transition and implementation.
  • Coordinate MERP User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, translating future-state MERP processes into practical steps for the Group Services CTC team to enable smooth transaction readiness.
Activities and Tasks
  • Monitor document turnaround and ensure cash collections are received within contractual payment terms.
  • Perform timely and accurate data analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with audit and finance queries when required.
  • Support SAP projects and enhancements for the CTC process.
  • Drive improvement initiatives and quick-win automations to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain management reporting and keep team reports and internal databases up to date.
