UWCSEA Dover is seeking an Admissions Officer to join our team from March/April 2026 (depending on the successful candidate’s availability), with the possibility of an Admissions Manager role for the right candidate.
As part of the Admissions team, the Admissions Officer will manage a caseload of student applications, guiding families through every stage of the admissions process, from enquiry to enrolment. This includes responding to enquiries, conducting tours, reviewing applications, and supporting applicants throughout their journey.
For candidates with the right experience, the role may expand into Admissions Manager, leading the campus team, coordinating workflows, and working closely with colleagues across both campuses to ensure a smooth and welcoming admissions process.
Main Responsibilities
Admissions Officer responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the assigned caseload of applications which includes:
- respond to initial enquiries via phone calls, emails, virtual meetings and in-person meetings and record all interactions in HubSpot and provide any subsequent follow up
- conduct planned group and ad-hoc 1-to-1 campus tours for prospective families
- hold virtual or in-person meetings with prospective families to help support them in their enquiries and throughout their application and admissions process
- verify the caseload of applications submitted to ensure integrity of the submitted information and work with the family to submit missing documentation
- review all Primary and Middle school applications, and refer them for further review, as appropriate
- request and chase confidential references
- coordinate assessments/interviews
- manage offers and all steps to final enrolment for the assigned caseload which can include assistance with subject selection, language choices, and communicating welcome and orientation messages
- liaise with families and the Ministry of Education (MOE) to complete waiver applications
- communicate with applicants and their families throughout the admissions cycle
- Collaborate with the Marketing team for student recruitment events and marketing efforts, including Open Days, recruitment fairs and outreach visits
- Collaborate with various Departments in UWCSEA and educational staff when needed in support of families’ applications
- Assist the work of the wider Admissions team as needed, which will include serving as a buddy to another Admissions Officer
Admissions Manager responsibilities
- Oversee and moderate the application verification and review process, including workload distribution and management.
- Liaise with educational and administrative College staff, as required, regarding admissions procedures and practices.
- Serve on the Admissions selection committee during all selection periods, as required.
- Coordinate the logistics of group tours and oversee tour workloads.
- Oversee the work of the Senior Administrative Assistant, including tour and office management and immigration pass support.
- Mentor and professionally develop staff members jointly line-managed by this role together with the Deputy Director of Admissions.
- Managing the UWCSEA Nominee Programme (UNP) admissions process and liaising with the UNP Coordinator and the AM at the other campus for all UNP applications to the College.

- A relevant university degree
Experience
Admissions Officer:
- Minimum of 2 years in a customer-focused role or industry, ideally in an international and culturally diverse context.
- 1–2 years of experience in international school or university admissions is preferred.
Admissions Manager:
- 3–4 years as an Admissions Officer and/or Admissions Manager.
- Formal or informal team leadership experience, ideally within an admissions or educational setting, is highly desirable.
Skills and Qualities
- Strong customer-service skills, with high intercultural competence and the ability to build positive relationships with diverse prospective families.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Multilingual abilities (Japanese, Korean, Mandarin preferred) are a strong asset.
- Highly organised with solid experience in databases and spreadsheets.
- Meticulous attention to detail; able to multitask and work independently.
- High energy, enthusiastic, and collaborative, with a strong work ethic and minimal need for supervision.
- Ability to work well with others and integrate into a highly collegial team.
- Positive, flexible, and solutions-oriented, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
Additional for Admissions Manager:
- Ability to lead, mentor and motivate a team, balancing workloads and supporting professional development.
- Strong decision‑making skills, with confidence in moderating application reviews and managing complex processes.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to streamline workflows and ensure smooth cross‑campus collaboration.
