Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Officer (Trust Accounts) to manage the full set of trust accounts for assigned properties. This role requires a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent time management, and the ability to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full sets of accounts for assigned properties and ensure timely month-end closing.
  • Process incoming cheques, bank deposits, and update accounting records and debtor listings.
  • Prepare and issue monthly maintenance, sinking fund, and special levy invoices and statements.
  • Handle supplier payments and manage petty cash.
  • Generate monthly financial reports: income & expenditure, balance sheet, bank reconciliation, and journal audit trails.
  • Submit GST returns and prepare Section 47(1)(c) certificates and reminder/demand letters.
  • Collect estate-related fees and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Liaise with auditors and coordinate annual account audits.
  • Mentor and guide new Accounts Assistants as needed.
