Job description

Responsibilities

• Maintain full sets of accounts, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet schedules.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing, year-end audits, and financial reporting.
• Handle daily accounting activities, including preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee AP functions; manage AR and General Ledger (GL) accounts.
• Assist in managing subsidiary accounts, including intercompany reporting and reconciliation.
• Perform monthly and annual inventory reconciliations between control systems and ledgers.
• Prepare and submit half-yearly tax computations and ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
• Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc finance and reporting duties.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the construction sector.
• Meticulous and able to work independently.
• Team-oriented, with high integrity and a strong sense of accountability.
