Job summary

A construction and engineering firm located in Singapore is looking for an Accounts Executive to oversee accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, compliance reporting, and administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Accounting or Finance and 1–3 years of relevant experience in the industry. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software is required, along with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely payments by processing supplier invoices and subcontractor claims.
  • Issue invoices to clients and maintain accurate records of receipts.
  • Assist in GST submissions and ensure accurate filing of accounting documents.

Job description
Accounts Payable (AP):
  • Ensure timely payments with processing supplier invoices, subcontractor claims, and staff expense reimbursements.
  • Verify supporting documents (delivery orders, site claims, purchase orders).
  • Liaise across the department for documentation of claims and petty cash.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
  • Issue invoices to clients and emails SOA to clients
  • Monitor aging reports
  • Maintain accurate records of receipts and outstanding balances.
General Ledger & Data Entry:
  • Record daily transactions into accounting software.
  • Assist in monthly closing, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Compliance & Reporting:
  • Assist in GST submissions and statutory filings
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents for easy retrieval.
Administrative Support:
  • Provide support to the Accounts Executive/Accountant in ad-hoc tasks.
  • Handle basic office administration related to finance (e.g., petty cash, bank deposits).
Requirements
  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (construction/engineering industry preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Digital literacy will be an added advantage.
