Job summary

A leading marine engineering firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced Accountant to handle daily accounting and finance duties. You will prepare monthly financial and management reports, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and manage the full set of accounts. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience, a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, and proficiency in MYOB. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in intermediate Excel & other MS Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily accounting & finance duties including general ledger, tax, and bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly financial and management reports for subsidiaries.
  • Consolidate accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage full set of accounts and inter-company balances and transactions.

Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform daily accounting & finance duties including general ledger, tax and bank reconciliation, etc.;
  • Prepare monthly financial and management reports for subsidiaries;
  • Consolidate accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards;
  • Assist in group consolidation reports;
  • To be in-charge of the full set of accounts
  • To do inter-company balances and transactions Reconciliation
  • Monthly bank reconciliation
  • Monthly closing Accounts, schedules, reconciliations and reports
  • To be in –charge of the quarterly GST reporting and submission
  • Other Ad Hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Min 2 years of relevant experiences
  • Diploma / Degree in Accountancy
  • Prior experience in MYOB system would be an advantage
  • Meticulous, independent and has good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in intermediate Excel & other MS office application
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment;
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
