About the job Accountant / Senior Accounts Executive

We are looking for an Accountant for one of our ship owner clients. Reporting to the CEO directly, the incumbent will need to have at least 4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Operating company accounts on QuickBooks accounting software
  • Responsible for full set of accounts and monthly accounts closing
  • Perform bookkeeping such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Costing, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Bank Reconciliation in both QuickBooks and excel schedule
  • Prepare and maintain records of purchases and payments
  • Adhere company mode of payments
  • Prepare financial reports including Income Statement and Balance Sheet according to the FRS and GAAP standards
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns to IRAS
  • Liaise with the external auditor, tax agents and company corporate secretary
  • Respond to remittance and other bank queries
  • Reports to the Directors and handles ad-hoc assignments
  • Handling company HR matters and duties such as interviewing potential candidates, managing monthly payroll, monthly CPF submission and yearly employees income tax submission
  • Handling company administrative matters such as replenish office pantry supplies, stationery supplies and opening company mail box

Requirements:

  • Minimum a Bachelors Degree, Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is a plus
  • Preferably at least 4 years of relevant working experience, Proficient in financial analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills and time management
  • Ability to work in a team and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to Accounting softwares
  • Attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
