Job summary

A leading petrochemical company in Singapore seeks a candidate for an accounts role to manage Accounts Payable and Treasury functions. Responsibilities include handling tax assessments and performing expense analysis, while ensuring compliance with internal controls. Ideal candidates should have a Degree/Diploma in Accountancy, alongside a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience for Degree Holders or 4 years for Diploma Holders. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office is advantageous.

Company Description

Located on Jurong Island, the petrochemical hub of Singapore, SRC operates a refinery that is capable of processing 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day to produce fuel products and chemical feedstocks that are supplied to domestic markets and overseas export markets under the brand labels of its shareholders.

Responsibilities

Selected candidate will be engaged under a third-party agency payroll for the tenure (9-months) of employment in SRC

• Maintain the Company's Accounts Payable system & Treasury function
• Handle withholding tax assessments and returns
• Perform monthly variances analysis on expenses
• Review monthly schedules and bank / creditor reconciliation
• Follow up on the audit findings and administer / maintain documentation to achieve compliance with internal control measures / recommendations.
• Other ad-hoc AP related projects

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 2 years (for Degree Holders) or 4 years (for Diploma Holders) of relevant experience in a similar industry

Other Information

• Experience with SAP / system implementation is an added advantage
• Computer software/system savvy, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint).
