Job summary

A leading marine industry company in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full sets of accounts. Responsibilities include handling Accounts Payable and Receivable, performing month-end closing, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma in Accounting, with preferably a CPA or ACCA qualification, and possess at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts including daily operational tasks.

Job description

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts, including daily operational Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities such as invoicing, payments, receipts, staff claims, and related transactions
• Perform month-end and year-end closing of accounts for management reporting and statutory compliance
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, Balance Sheet schedules, and financial reports
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors and tax agents
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of accounting entries into the accounting system
• Maintain proper documentation and an organised filing system
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification
• CPA / ACCA qualification or currently pursuing will be an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with hands-on experience in full-set accounting
• Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to work well in a team and report to multiple stakeholders.
• High level of computer literacy; technically proficient with numbers and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Work Location : Tuas Avenue 8
Work Hours : 8.30am to 5.30pm (Mon-Fri) 8.30am to 12.30pm (Sat)
