Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore seeks an experienced accountant to manage full accounts for a Singapore entity. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, and the ability to handle multi-currency transactions. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Full Set of Accounts (Singapore Entity): Manage and prepare the full set of accounts for one Singapore entity using Excel, SAP, and Workbench, including:

    • Maintain accurate and timely General Ledger records

    • Accounts Payable:

      • Prepare payment vouchers and process payments

      • Match, post, and reconcile purchase invoices and payments

      • Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies

      • Maintain and update the daily cash book

    • Accounts Receivable:

      • Issue invoices and debit notes and record receipts

      • Follow up with internal stakeholders on outstanding balances

      • Prepare and maintain Accounts Receivable schedules

  • Reconciliations

    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations

    • Reconcile and confirm intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency

  • Financial Reporting

    • Prepare balance sheet and profit & loss schedules to support financial statements

    • Perform basic consolidation of group entities’ financial results

  • Petty Cash Management

    • Manage and record petty cash transactions

  • GST Reporting

    • Prepare and submit GST returns in compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Year-End Audit Support

    • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents for external auditors

  • Tax Reporting Support

    • Assist in responding to tax-related queries and provide supporting information

  • Government Reporting

    • Prepare and submit government statistical surveys as required

  • Ad-Hoc Duties

    • Undertake additional accounting or administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements
  • Diploma, Professional Certificate, or Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience

  • Experience handling multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange conversions

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive work attitude
