Project Sales Manager / Business Development Manager (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Tuas, Singapore (Fully Onsite)
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm
Salary: Basic up to $20,000 + Variable Incentive (Project Sales Commission) + Variable Bonus

Company is expanding into Australia and aims to increase project acquisition in pharmaceutical plants across Singapore and Australia. (EPC Firm)

Key Requirements (All Must Be Met)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in project sales within engineering or EPC environments, with a proven track record securing large-scale projects.
  • Strong preference for candidates with pharmaceutical project sales experience, due to industry-specific regulatory and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability in business development/hunter sales, including lead generation and securing new maintenance projects in technical industries.
  • Strong technical competency in engineering design, analysis, and testing.
  • Ability to develop and present technical sales plans, proposals, and project approaches during the interview stage.
Job Responsibilities
Sales & Project Acquisition
  • Conduct full project sales cycle, including lead generation, client engagement, technical discussions, proposal preparation, and closing.
  • Attend site walks and follow up on client enquiries for new jobs or projects.
  • Work closely with project engineers and managers on quotations, tender submissions, and securing purchase orders.
  • Develop sales proposals, method statements, budget plans, and project approaches for management and client review.
Project Coordination & Technical Support
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and client teams on technical and detailed engineering requirements.
  • Prepare MTO, raise MR, and coordinate material requirements for the project.
  • Support equipment installation, structural installation, piping erection, and mechanical works according to schedule and specifications.
  • Manage technical queries, prepare field sketches, and troubleshoot site-related issues.
Engineering & Compliance
  • Review project specifications, ISO drawings, and P&ID to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify installation works through counter-checking ISO, P&ID, and GA drawings for location, orientation, and alignment.
  • Conduct final P&ID checks, support preparation of “As-Built” drawings, and assist with hydro/pneumatic testing, commissioning, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Ensure punch list items are resolved and project handover is properly completed.
Quality, Safety & Documentation
  • Work with safety personnel to prepare risk assessments, lifting plans, and work schedules.
  • Take timely corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and maintain safe site conditions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and closure of test packages and mechanical completion.
