Industry Energy Technology (IET), part of Baker Hughes Company, operates across 120 countries and serves the entire energy value chain and industrial sector. We hold an extensive portfolio of rotating equipment, process flow, transmission technology, and lifecycle services. Our Mechanical Engineering Team uses cutting-edge technology to design gas and steam turbines, compressors, and expanders.

Partner with the best

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for:

• Assembling components such as compressors, motors, pipes, and baseplates according to assembly drawings.
• Operating overhead cranes to move equipment.
• Working within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Assembling/disassembling, adjusting, and installing mechanical parts to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
• Performing basic mathematical calculations. Using general hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment needed for assembly.
• Conducting testing such as hydrotests and pneumatic tests.
• Aligning centrifugal compressors and electrical motors with gearboxes.
• Complying with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental directives and regulations.
• Owning the completion of QC sheets, manufacturing forms, and work completion forms.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Have 3+ years of experience in packaging lines.
• Have experience in mechanical activities such as assembly of pipes and equipment, testing.
• Having knowledge of packaging manufacturing operations is a plus.
• Experience in alignment for centrifugal compressors and electrical motors with gearboxes is desirable.
• Knowledge of products such as centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, electrical motors, and gearboxes.
• Ability to read and understand packaging drawings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment like gloves and safety glasses.
• Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in English.
