Job summary

Automotive Distribution & Marketing Company Ltd. seeks an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead the service department, ensuring top-quality repairs and excellent customer service.

You will oversee technicians, monitor daily capacity, and coordinate with the Service Manager on performance, training, and resource planning. The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor in automotive-related fields, several years of workshop leadership experience, and strong diagnostic knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of automotive workshop service experience.
• 2 years in a Workshop Supervisor/Foreman/Team Leader role.
• Dealership authorized service center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle repair diagnostics and workshop operations.
• Experience managing technicians and monitoring workshop productivity & efficiency KPIs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs service department technicians for efficiency and productivity.
• Monitors workshop capacity daily and reports to Services Manager.
• Ensures accurate time recording on orders and work sheets; provides technical support.
• Maintains standby and emergency service staffing requirements.
• Reports to Service Manager on disciplinary issues; contributes to training decisions.
• Participates in department meetings and proposes investments in tools/equipment.
• Keeps up-to-date with technical information and attends training as needed.

Job description

Summary

Coordinates and directs the service department technicians for maximum efficiency and productivity while overseeing all service repair work to ensure the highest quality of customer service

Key Activities

• Monitors the hourly sold FRU HRS within the workshop and the workshop productivity and efficiency of the individual employees involved
• Establishes what the workshop capacity is daily and passes this information on to the Services Manager
• Checks that time recording is correct on orders and on daily or weekly work sheets provides support for the technicians via technical resources when problems arise is responsible for the workshop and monitors it
• Ensures that the personnel requirements necessary for perfect operation of the standby and emergency services are guaranteed
• Report to the Service Manager on any disciplinary staff related issues
• Advice the Service Manager in evaluations of the service personnel in relation to performance and conduct and makes suggestions to the Training Manager regarding further professional training for the service staff
• Attend regular department meetings and take a pro‑active approach
• Recommend tools and equipment and makes proposals to the Vice President Aftersales for the annual investment plan
• Keep up to date with technical information and will attend training courses in-house or overseas as needed

Requirements
