Job summary

The Career Nest is seeking a Junior Sous Chef for a full-time, permanent role in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. You will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef, oversee line preparation, uphold standards, and step in to lead on the pass when necessary.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years of kitchen experience, including 1–2 years in a fine dining or upscale setting, strong technical skills and leadership potential; English fluency is mandatory with additional French or Arabic advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years solid kitchen background with 1–2 years as Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in fine dining or upscale environment
• Strong technical culinary skills with consistency, organization and leadership potential
• English fluency mandatory; extra French or Arabic a bonus

Responsibilities

• Oversee food preparation, cooking and plating to ensure precision and quality across all sections during service
• Motivate, train and support kitchen brigade; lead by example and run the kitchen when needed
• Enforce food safety and hygiene protocols across all stations for a clean, compliant environment
• Manage inventory and stock flow; adapt to busy service demands
