The Technical Site Support Lead will establish a responsive engineering service for delivery teams. Timely decisions, structured issue tracking, and practical site-based recommendations will help maintain construction momentum while protecting approved design intent and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities

- Guide site engineers, construction managers, inspectors, contractors, and technical coordinators.
- Serve as the primary engineering focal point for site challenges and coordination issues.
- Ensure delivery teams receive the required drawings, clarifications, approvals, and technical input.
- Support the delivery partner in achieving construction and operational-readiness objectives.
- Manage technical issues raised during construction, installation, and fit-out activities.
- Review requests for information, site queries, design questions, and technical clarifications.
- Coordinate timely responses with design consultants and engineering disciplines.
- Maintain an issue tracker and drive outstanding matters through effective closeout.
- Identify recurring problems and recommend preventive improvements.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions, and design changes from a construction perspective.
- Confirm that design requirements are correctly understood and implemented on site.
- Coordinate constructability matters between designers and construction teams.
- Evaluate proposed alternatives, substitutions, departures, and technical deviations.
- Support value-engineering proposals without compromising safety, quality, compliance, or performance.
- Manage interfaces between civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical works.
- Coordinate ICT, ELV, airfield, airfield-ground-lighting, utility, and infrastructure systems.
- Facilitate technical meetings involving contractors, consultants, specialists, and stakeholders.
- Resolve clashes, sequencing constraints, access conflicts, and system-interface issues.
- Maintain technical alignment across all project disciplines.
- Provide engineering support during testing, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness.
- Participate in site inspections, technical walkthroughs, and completion reviews.
- Review contractor method statements, shop drawings, material submissions, and construction proposals.
- Verify that construction complies with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
- Support quality teams in resolving technical non-conformances.
- Review inspection records, test results, root causes, and proposed corrective measures.
- Participate in technical audits, quality reviews, and delivery assessments.
- Coordinate with clients, airport authorities, contractors, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers.
- Provide recommendations supporting project and management decisions.
- Escalate critical technical matters with clear evidence and proposed solutions.

- Lead constructability reviews and provide practical site-based advice.
- Assess the consequences of design changes and technical decisions.
- Support mitigation plans, corrective actions, and schedule-recovery measures.
- Capture lessons learned and promote improvements across work packages.
- Prepare technical reports, status summaries, issue registers, and progress updates.
- Maintain records of queries, decisions, approvals, and technical resolutions.
- Support preparation of project closeout files and handover documentation.
