Job summary

EXERGY is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to develop business across the UAE, focusing on on-site machining, field engineering and precision services. This technically oriented commercial role requires engaging with customers, understanding their requirements and converting opportunities into projects across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Steel, Marine and Heavy Industry.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years' experience in technical sales, industrial services, field machining, maintenance, rotating equipment or a related engineering environment.
• Experience within the UAE/GCC industrial market.
• Technical understanding of on-site machining technologies and applications.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, machining tolerances and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and industrial maintenance.
• Experience dealing with customers in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Steel, Marine or other heavy industrial sectors.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong commercial, communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites, industrial plants and project locations.

Responsibilities

• Developing new business for on-site machining, workshop machining and field engineering services.
• Identifying and developing relationships with industrial customers and key decision-makers.
• Conducting customer visits, technical presentations and site assessments.
• Reviewing enquiries, engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
• Working closely with engineering and operations teams to develop technical and commercial proposals.
• Preparing quotations, tenders and cost estimates.
• Negotiating pricing, contracts and commercial terms.
• Following projects through execution to ensure customer satisfaction and identify further opportunities.
• Maintaining an accurate pipeline of opportunities, quotations and customer activity.
• Achieving agreed sales targets and contributing to wider business growth.
• Attending industry exhibitions, shutdown planning meetings and customer networking events.
• Monitoring market trends, competitors and emerging opportunities.
