Job summary

KONE is seeking a Team Leader with a service mindset to provide professional service to customers in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will lead a team of technicians, ensure safety, and drive installation and maintenance activities by following KONE methods and coordinating with the Field Supervisor.

• 5–7 years of proven elevator/escalator industry experience.
• Fluent in English and Arabic with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience supervising on-site teams.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with contractors, clients and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety on site by applying good safety practices and proactive risk identification.
• Manage on-site communication with the customer and coordinate with Field Supervisor.
• Oversee installation environments during activities and ensure quality and timing.
• Handle reception, checking and storage of materials and secure equipment storage.
• Carry out installations according to specified methods and schedules and report progress to Field Supervisor.
• Maintain installation tooling in good condition and promote lean practices and huddles.

In this role, you will be at the core of KONE - an everyday hero who makes people's lives easier. You will work towards ensuring quality service, improving equipment safety and performance as well as promoting regular and proactive on-site communication to the customer and the people using the equipment. As a team leader, you will be responsible to drive and execute the VA & VB repair activities and manage a team of technicians.

What will you do?

• Caring about safety on site by applying good safety practices highlighting proactive risk identification and STOP and GO principles
• Manage on-site communication with the customer for day to day installation activities with continuous coordination with the Field Supervisor.
• Manage the equipment installation environment during installation activities.
• Perform the reception, checking and storage of materials.
• Ensure the security of the delivered equipment by means of correct storage and site handling.
• Carry out the installation according to pre-determined method instruction and schedule.
• Responsible for high quality and timely installation of the equipment following KONE installation methods throughout the installation process described mainly in AM instructions.
• Is responsible for reporting installation progress to the Field supervisor.
• Keeps the installation tooling safe and in good condition.
• Promotes quality feedback forms and proactive contributes to the ongoing improvement of the product by feedback to the supply line.
• Fast reaction to unexpected events by communication to Field Supervisor.
• Apply lean principles to avoid interruptions at work and consistently follow and promote huddles initiatives.

Are you the one?

• Hold Diploma in Engineering or ITI/Vocational Certification in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of proven experience in the elevator and escalator industry, including significant involvement in high-rise projects.
• Proficient in both English and Arabic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing and supervising on-site teams.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with contractors, clients, and key stakeholders.
• High attention to detail with a focus on design accuracy, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
