Job summary

KONE is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to assure quality requirements and drive continuous improvement through data analysis, inspections, and testing.

The role involves building quality awareness and supporting the Quality Manager with deployment of KONE’s quality strategy and governance. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 4–5 years in elevators/escalators are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 4–5 years of experience in Elevators & Escalators industry in a similar role.
  • ISO 9001 is recommended.
  • Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in testing, version control, and defect management.
  • Professional certification such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA.
  • Excellent skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize quality performance improvements based on data analysis.
  • Investigate non-conformances and determine root cause; drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Create and analyze large datasets from multiple platforms and identify trends.
  • Support Quality Manager with target setting.
  • Perform in-process or product inspections and execute tests to validate requirements.
  • Maintain quality records as required by procedures.
  • Share quality knowledge and train others in quality practices.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective actions with Quality Improvement teams.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer, who will be assures quality requirements for the organization. he identifies and drives continuous improvement projects by data analysis, inspections and testing.

Quality Engineer actively builds and spreads quality awareness within the organization by giving training and sharing best business practices. S/he supports the Quality Manager with the deployment of KONE’s quality strategy, governance and goals.

What will you do?
  • Prioritize quality performance improvement based on data analysis
  • Use continuous improvement methodologies to investigate non-conformances and determine root cause, identify corrective actions, and drive actions to closure
  • Create and analyses large datasets from multiple platforms and analyses trends.
  • Support Quality Manager with target setting.
  • Perform in-process or product inspections and execute measures, tests, sampling methods, and other procedures to validate that requirements are met.
  • Maintain and update quality records required by the quality procedures.
  • Shares skills and knowledge with the organization about quality methodology and tools and ensures they understand and develop the capability to execute the learnings with established quality procedures and standards.
  • Supports the quality manager with internal and external audits.
  • Is responsible for coordinating preventive and corrective actions of Quality Improvement teams in her/his area.
Are you the one?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 4 to 5 Years of Experience in Elevators & Escalators industry with a proven track record in a similar role.
  • Quality Certificate ISO 9001 is recommended.
  • Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Superb computer skills, including database management..
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management.
  • Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA.
  • Excellent skills in computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
