Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead medium-to-large GIS and substations projects in the Saudi Arabia region. You will drive execution in line with contract scope, budget, and schedule, coordinating with engineering, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely approvals and successful handover.

The role requires 7–12 years of project execution experience, strong leadership, and English fluency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering is preferred.
Minimum 7 to 12 years in project execution of GIS or substations with HV equipment.
Strong leadership skills and ability to persuade stakeholders for project interests.
Proficient in both spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

Lead medium-to-large GIS and substations projects per contract scope, schedule and budget.
Review contracts and understand terms, risks, and impact on margin and risk.
Plan, monitor and control project activities (scope, time, cost) and manage handover.
Develop and freeze project master documents with stakeholders and maintain updates.
Execute SAP-based processes and ensure ISO-compliant documentation throughout the project.
Coordinate with engineering and customer for timely approvals and issue resolution.
Act as single point of contact and escalation for customers to meet Hitachi Energy commitments.
Prepare and submit progress reports per contract; manage changes and extensions.
Identify risks early and implement mitigation plus opportunity management plans.
Coordinate FATs with customers and arrange dispatch clearances; liaise with commercial and service teams for final delivery.
