Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Saudi Arabia seeks a GIS I&C Engineer to oversee the installation and commissioning of high voltage switching systems worldwide. You will ensure adherence to installation requirements, safety measures, and documentation accuracy while coordinating with project teams and subcontractors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 2-5 years of GIS experience, SF6 gas-handling familiarity, MS Project proficiency, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2-5 years of GIS experience preferred.
• SF6 gas-handling knowledge is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project is required.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
• Ensuring compliance with installation requirements and safety guidelines.
• Advising on planning and coordination of the work force to meet schedules.
• Inspecting arriving material for completeness and potential damage.
• Issuing non-conformance reports for damaged or missing equipment.
• Supervising installation, commissioning tests and related documentation.
• Coordinating loop check activities and participating in site meetings.
• Ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations and Hitachi Energy values.
