Job summary

Confidential in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Subcontract Administrator to oversee the contractual and commercial administration of subcontract agreements from award through close-out. The role focuses on managing variations, claims, contractual correspondence, progress, invoicing, and overall contractual compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Law, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of subcontract administration or contracts management experience in construction or infrastructure.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply contract terms while identifying risks.
• Excellent drafting, writing, and correspondence skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; experience with contract management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer multiple subcontract agreements throughout their lifecycle.
• Review and interpret subcontract agreements to ensure compliance and identify potential contractual and commercial risks.
• Manage Variation Orders, claims, extensions of time (EOT), delays, and other subcontractor entitlements, including assessment, negotiation, and resolution.
• Identify potential claims and contractual risks at an early stage and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Draft, review, and respond to formal contractual letters, notices, claims, and subcontractor correspondence.
• Monitor subcontractor progress, payment milestones, invoices, retention, advance payments, and outstanding contractual deliverables.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date registers for subcontracts, variations, claims, correspondence, invoices, and key contractual dates.
• Coordinate with Project, Planning, Commercial, Finance, and Technical teams to ensure proper administration of subcontract agreements.
• Support negotiations with subcontractors and assist in resolving contractual and commercial disputes.
• Manage subcontract close-out activities, including final accounts, outstanding claims, variations, warranties, and contractual documentation.
