Job summary

Parsons Corporation in Riyadh seeks a Structural Steel Inspector to verify fabrication, erection, welding, coating, and dimensional accuracy across major projects. You will review drawings, ITPs, and material certificates, and witness NDT to ensure compliance with international standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in structural steel inspection, with AWS/CSWIP preferred, and will coordinate with engineers, quality teams, and contractors for timely handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural steel inspection, fabrication, erection, construction quality control, or related works.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification is highly preferred.
• CSWIP Welding Inspector certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel fabrication, assembly, erection, and installation against approved drawings and ITPs.
• Review shop drawings, erection drawings, fabrication details, material specifications, and approved submissions before inspections.
• Carry out inspections at fabrication yards, storage areas, pre-shipment locations, and construction sites as required.
• Verify structural steel materials against approved submittals and confirm grades, dimensions, thicknesses, heat numbers, and identifications.
• Coordinate and witness NDT activities including UT, MT, PT, RT, and visual testing where specified.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and maintain traceability records.
