Job summary

Parsons Corporation in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Structural Engineer – Building Design with at least 10 years of experience to support major giga-project delivery. You will drive design development for concrete and steel structures, perform analyses, review submittals, and ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code and international standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with architecture, MEP and geotechnical teams, and contribute to technical reports and design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive structural engineering and design experience.
• Strong background in large-scale infrastructure, high-rise buildings, or master-planned developments.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design tools (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE).
• Strong knowledge of CAD and BIM coordination processes.
• Understanding of international codes including AISC, ACI, Eurocodes, and Saudi Building Code.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Structural Engineer - Building Design

Location: Tabuk, Saudi Arabia | Industry: Civil Engineering | Function: Structural | Experience: Minimum 10 years | Job Type: Full‑time

Overview

The Structural Engineer – Building Design will support the safe and efficient delivery of major structural assets across high‑profile development projects in Tabuk. The role focuses on structural design development, technical review, structural analysis, constructability assessment, site compliance checks, and multidisciplinary coordination across large‑scale engineering works.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design development and modification for complex concrete and steel structures.
• Perform structural analysis and design checks using recognized engineering software and approved project standards.
• Review structural design submittals, contractor shop drawings, calculations, method statements, and technical specifications.
• Validate structural documentation for compliance with project guidelines, international codes, Saudi Building Code requirements, and quality procedures.
• Carry out over‑the‑shoulder reviews to assess constructability, maintainability, value‑engineering opportunities, and technical design risks.
• Conduct site observations and field inspections to confirm that structural works follow approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify construction deviations, structural coordination issues, and potential quality concerns requiring corrective action.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, designers, CAD technicians, and BIM modelers during design and review activities.
• Coordinate with architecture, MEP, geotechnical, civil infrastructure, planning, and construction teams to resolve design interfaces.
• Support project milestone tracking by reviewing structural deliverables, responding to technical queries, and closing review comments.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical notes, review responses, and design recommendations for project teams and leadership.
• Present practical structural solutions to clients, consultants, contractors, and senior management when complex issues arise.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive structural engineering and design experience.
• Strong background in large‑scale infrastructure, high‑rise buildings, complex mixed‑use developments, or master‑planned projects.
• Practical experience with concrete structures, steel structures, foundations, building systems, and infrastructure‑related structural components.
• Middle East project experience is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design tools such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, and SAFE.
• Strong working knowledge of CAD and BIM coordination processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of international structural codes including AISC, ACI, Eurocodes, and Saudi Building Code requirements.
• Ability to review shop drawings, calculations, specifications, construction documents, and technical submittals with accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Capability to prepare detailed engineering reports and present technical solutions to clients and senior stakeholders.
