Job summary

Red Sea Coastal Trading Company, a specialized supply chain and logistics subsidiary under Red Sea Global, is seeking a Senior Specialist - Transportation to lead the movement of goods, develop transportation strategies, and optimize freight costs across air, ocean, and trucking.

You will build carrier relationships, manage schedules, and ensure compliant, efficient service for projects along the Red Sea coast and beyond.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree in Business, Analytics or Data Management; MBA preferred.
• 5–6 years in supply chain and logistics operations; team leadership.
• Strong problem solving and vendor relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transportation of goods, scheduling, tracking shipments and carrier relationships.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers for cost-effective service.
• Analyze transportation costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, customs requirements, and trade laws.
• Provide guidance to clients on routing options and regulatory considerations.

Job Purpose:

As Senior Specialist - Transportation, involves overseeing the movement of goods from one location to another. optimizing freight costs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing logistical support to clients. advanced knowledge of transportation modes, such as air, ocean, and trucking. ensure the efficient and timely movement of goods while minimizing costs and maximizing service levels. This involves developing and implementing transportation strategies, building and maintaining relationships with carriers and vendors, and providing strategic guidance to the organization and its clients.

• Transportation Operations Management: Overseeing and coordinating the transportation of goods, including scheduling, tracking shipments, and managing carrier relationships.
• Carrier Negotiations: Negotiating contracts and rates with carriers to secure competitive pricing and ensure reliable service.
• Freight Cost Optimization: Analyzing transportation costs and identifying opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining service quality.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and trade laws to facilitate smooth and lawful movement of goods.
