Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to provide mechanical engineering expertise for a major project with a strong Public Realm component. The role involves independently developing and supervising engineering deliverables while upholding quality, schedule, and client standards on-site.

The candidate will guide designers, CAD personnel, and junior engineers, define problems and work scope, plan technical activities, and prepare budgets and schedules to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional engineering experience.
• At least 4 years of Public Realm experience.
• Ability to independently develop mechanical engineering deliverables.
• Experience defining technical problems and establishing engineering scopes.
• Ability to plan activities and manage schedules.
• Experience preparing detailed calculations and analyses.
• Ability to develop and review drawings, procurement documents, and installation packages.
• Experience preparing technical reports and evaluating engineering proposals.
• Ability to guide Designers, CAD personnel, and lower-level Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop mechanical engineering solutions and associated technical deliverables.
• Supervise the preparation of engineering products to ensure they satisfy Client quality requirements.
• Define engineering problems and establish the appropriate scope of work.
• Plan technical activities required to complete assigned engineering packages.
• Prepare budgets and schedules for assigned engineering work.
• Monitor engineering progress against established requirements.
• Provide technical direction throughout the development of engineering deliverables.
• Report work status and identify matters requiring technical attention.
• Support other engineering activities when required by the project.
