• Monitor contractor performance and highlight technical issues or construction risks requiring corrective action.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, structural, and electrical teams to resolve interfaces and space constraints.
• Review contractor submittals, method statements, RFIs, and proposals.
• Support evaluation of mechanical equipment layouts and installation methods.

Senior Mechanical Engineer - MEP Systems in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia is a construction hiring opportunity with Parsons Corporation for a Saudi National engineer supporting high‑profile infrastructure and building projects. The role focuses on mechanical design review, site supervision, technical coordination, material submittal assessment, testing and commissioning support, and compliance with Saudi Building Code and international engineering standards.

Salary: 22,000 – 32,000 SAR per month (estimated; confirm with employer).

Key Responsibilities

• Review mechanical engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documents for project compliance.
• Evaluate HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and building management system designs against approved standards and project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that mechanical works are installed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality expectations.
• Monitor contractor performance and highlight technical issues, deviations, or construction risks that require corrective action.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, structural, and electrical teams to resolve design interfaces, service routes, space constraints, and technical conflicts.
• Review contractor material submittals, method statements, requests for information, and technical proposals.
• Support the evaluation of mechanical equipment, system layouts, and installation methods before site execution.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover activities for mechanical systems and related equipment.
• Assist project management teams with progress updates, milestone tracking, technical reports, and site coordination records.
• Liaise with clients, local utility authorities, consultants, and contractors when mechanical engineering input is required.
• Apply Saudi Building Code requirements, ASHRAE standards, NFPA guidance, ASPE practices, and relevant international codes.
• Promote safe working practices, technical accuracy, and quality‑focused construction delivery across assigned work areas.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (mandatory).
• Minimum five years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in design review, construction supervision, or technical site coordination for infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and building management systems.
• Good knowledge of Saudi Building Code requirements and international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and ASPE.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit BIM, HVAC load calculation software, and technical engineering documentation.
• Ability to review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and contractor technical submissions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Confident in explaining technical matters clearly to site teams, consultants, clients, and project stakeholders.
