Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to supervise materials activities for a major Roads & Highways project in Saudi Arabia. You will lead QA/QC programs, review submittals and mix designs, and ensure compliance with contract specs and authority requirements.

The role requires extensive experience with road construction materials, laboratory testing, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure projects in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; master's preferred for advanced specialty.
• Experience in roads/highways materials, QA/QC, and field/lab testing.
• Proven track record on large-scale transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials engineering and QA activities across the project.
• Review submittals, specs, suppliers, and contractors per contract.
• Ensure materials meet standards and project specifications.
• Review mix designs for asphalt, concrete, and other road components.
• Supervise laboratory testing and QA processes; manage ITPs.
• Audit batching plants, quarries, and material production facilities.
• Coordinate with labs, suppliers, authorities, and teams.
