Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking highly skilled Material Inspectors for a prestigious road infrastructure project in Riyadh. You will oversee testing and auditing of asphalt, concrete, and aggregates, ensuring compliance with project specs and quality standards.

The role requires a Diploma/degree in Materials or Civil Engineering, 7+ years of construction consultancy experience, and SCE registration. You will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and managers to keep timelines and safety at

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in construction consultancy focused on road infrastructure.
• Diploma or degree in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration as Material Technician/Material Engineer or related qualification.
• Solid knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and quality control procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with material testing equipment and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction materials and perform testing to ensure compliance with project specs and standards.
• Monitor quality of materials used in roads, bridges, highways, and tunnels.
• Conduct on-site material sampling, testing, and analysis as required.
• Review drawings, specs, and material submittals for design and quality adherence.
• Prepare detailed reports on material quality, test results, and non-conformities with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve material issues and meet timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
