Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to join the Construction Supervision team on a major Roads & Highways infrastructure project in Saudi Arabia.

The role oversees all materials-related activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and contract requirements. A strong background in asphalt, concrete, geotechnical, and quality assurance is essential for success on large-scale transportation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory.
• Master's degree in related field is desirable.
• 15+ years of post-graduate professional experience.
• Experience with reputable consultancy firms in supervision roles.
• GCC or Middle East project experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials engineering and QA activities across the project.
• Review and approve material submittals, specs, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and standards.
• Review mix designs for asphalt, concrete, and related materials.
• Supervise material testing by contractors and labs.
• Audit batching plants, asphalt plants, quarries, borrow areas.
• Coordinate with laboratories, authorities, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare technical reports and NCRs; recommend corrective actions.
• Mentor Materials Inspectors and junior staff.
