Job summary

BEC Arabia is seeking a Principal Material Coordinator to join our Technical Department in Riyadh. The role ensures seamless material flow across large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, coordinating planning, procurement, and logistics to meet budgets and timelines.

With a focus on compliance, efficiency, and innovation, you will work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and site supervisors to align material availability with schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in material coordination or supply chain management within construction/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and ARAMCO standards.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle ERP and material tracking software.
• SCE registration and PMP/CSCP certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end material coordination including planning, procurement, and delivery to align with project schedules.
• Develop and maintain material tracking systems to monitor inventory, usage, and procurement timelines.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to source materials from approved vendors meeting project specs and quality standards.
• Monitor delivery schedules and resolve delays to minimize project disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with SBC, ARAMCO standards, and other regulatory requirements for all materials.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to forecast material needs and adapt plans as scopes evolve.
• Prepare detailed reports on material usage and inventory levels for senior management review.
• Implement best practices in material handling, storage, and logistics to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Liaise with international suppliers to manage import/export logistics, customs clearance, and documentation.
• Support sustainability by sourcing eco-friendly materials and adhering to green standards (e.g., LEED, Mostadam).
• Train and mentor junior material coordinators to build a high-performing team.
