Job summary

BEC Arabia is seeking a committed Design Coordinator to lead cross-disciplinary design activities in Riyadh. You will review technical drawings, ensure SBC compliance, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to integrate designs into project plans.

With 7+ years in design coordination, you will drive BIM-based coordination, maintain design documentation, and uphold quality standards while supporting sustainability and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in design coordination within construction/engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of SBC and other regulations.
• Experience with BIM tools and processes.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design activities across multidisciplinary teams to align with objectives and timelines.
• Review and validate drawings, specs, and documents for SBC compliance.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and consultants to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor design progress and provide updates to project managers.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate design review meetings and workshops to optimize solutions.
• Develop and maintain a centralized design documentation repository with version control.
• Support BIM processes to enhance coordination and collaboration.
• Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies on design options.
• Collaborate with procurement to align designs with material/equipment needs.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and regulatory submissions.
• Promote sustainability standards such as Mostadam and LEED in design practices.
