Job summary

BEC Arabia in Riyadh is seeking a Principal Material Coordinator to lead material planning, procurement and logistics for major construction projects. You will work with project managers, procurement teams and site supervisors to ensure material availability aligns with schedules and budgets.

The role requires extensive experience in material coordination, ERP proficiency, and deep knowledge of Saudi Building Code and ARAMCO standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
  • Minimum 10 years in material coordination or supply chain in construction/engineering.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and material tracking software.
  • Strong knowledge of SBC and ARAMCO standards; ISO 9001/45001 familiarity.
  • SCE registration and procurement/logistics experience essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end material coordination: planning, procurement, delivery to align with schedules.
  • Develop and maintain material tracking systems for inventory and timelines.
  • Coordinate with procurement to source materials from approved vendors per specs and quality standards.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and resolve delays to minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure SBC, ARAMCO regulatory compliance for all materials.
  • Collaborate with project managers to forecast needs as scopes evolve.
  • Prepare reports on material usage, costs, and inventory for senior management.
  • Implement best practices in material handling and logistics to reduce waste.
  • Liaise with international suppliers for import/export and customs processes.
