Job summary

BEC Arabia seeks an experienced Lifting Supervisor to lead on-site lifting operations in Riyadh. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise lifting activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements on high-profile projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in lifting operations, a recognized supervisor certification, and strong knowledge of SBC, with English fluency and Arabic as a plus. Join a safety-focused team contributing to Vision 2030 infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in lifting operations within construction or heavy engineering.
• Lifting Supervisor Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., LOLER, CPCS).
• Knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and safety standards.
• Familiarity with lifting equipment (cranes, hoists, rigging).
• Proven experience developing and implementing lifting plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting software.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all lifting operations on-site, ensuring safety and project compliance.
• Develop and implement detailed lifting plans with site engineers and project managers.
• Inspect lifting equipment regularly for safe operation and compliance.
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and site personnel for safe execution.
• Monitor activities to identify hazards and take corrective actions.
• Ensure SBC compliance and safety standards are followed.
• Train site personnel on safe lifting practices and equipment use.
• Maintain records for lifting operations, inspections, and incidents.
• Liaise with inspectors and certification bodies for equipment compliance.
• Support incident investigations and recommend preventive measures.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote a safety-first culture.
• Report to Health & Safety Manager on lifting operations and status.
