Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer to support a high-profile development project in Riyadh. The role involves supervising construction activities, coordinating with contractors and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules and safety standards.

The candidate will work closely with the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager to oversee site execution, manage risks, review technical submissions, and support handover

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/construction engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall professional construction and site supervision experience.
• 5+ years as a Construction Engineer on major building projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, contract requirements and standards.
• Coordinate daily site activities among contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Review construction methodologies, work procedures, method statements and technical submissions.
• Monitor progress and ensure works align with approved schedules and milestones.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and technical documentation for compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain construction quality throughout execution.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, MEP and other disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Verify materials and workmanship meet quality standards; witness inspections and commissioning as required.
• Assist with RFIs, site queries and technical clarifications and participate in progress meetings.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
