Job summary

SNC-Lavalin is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with 7+ years of experience to work on high voltage substations and related power system projects in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. You will collaborate with the Civil Structural team to deliver conceptual and detailed designs, technical specifications, and bid packages.

Ideal candidates have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication, and a client-focused, autonomous work style, ready for international travel and coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Master's degree in power systems is an asset.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in engineering, design and construction of Extra High Voltage OHTL or related projects.
• Eligibility for registration with a Professional Order of Engineers.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE and CSA standards.
• Fluency in English and French.

Your role

Working in collaboration with the Civil Structural team to prepare the following deliverables provide the following engineering services non-exhaustive list

Bachelor s degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering, from a recognized institution (Master s degree in power systems, an asset).

Minimum 07 years of relevant experience in Engineering, Design and Construction of Extra High Voltage OHTL or related projects.

Comprehensive understanding of power system fundamentals.

Knowledge or experience in HVDC, FACTS, or HV Cables, an asset.

Eligibility for registration with a Professional Order of Engineers.

Knowledge of IEC, IEEE and CSA standards for electrical equipment and installations.

Availability for short trips to construction sites, factories, client s offices, in Canada, international and overseas.

Fluency in English and French languages, both spoken and written. Additional languages will be considered an asset.

Proficiency in the following (or similar) software tools, an asset: ETAP, CYMECAP, AUTOCAD.
