- Manage sales and marketing activities for Maintenance & Repair consumables, welding consumables and equipment, wear protection, repair and coating products within the assigned territory.
- Develop new customers and expand business with existing accounts by identifying maintenance problems, wear-related applications and repair opportunities.
- Conduct regular customer/site visits to understand applications, maintenance requirements, operational challenges and potential areas for product introduction.
- Develop technically and commercially suitable solutions based on customer requirements and prepare technical proposals, quotations and product recommendations.
- Generate new applications and conduct product demonstrations, application trials and field evaluations to support business development.
- Conduct technical seminars, product presentations, demonstrations and training programs for customers, distributors and sales teams.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, opportunity development, quotation, negotiation, order follow-up, delivery coordination and payment collection.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with maintenance, engineering, production, procurement and management personnel at customer organizations.
- Work closely with distributors to develop the market, identify new opportunities, maintain adequate stock levels and improve sales coverage.
- Coordinate with the supply center, logistics team and distributors regarding product availability, inventory, order processing, shipment and delivery.
- Support the development and training of the local distributor and/or sales force to improve technical and commercial capabilities.
- Ensure timely follow-up and collection of outstanding/overdue payments from direct customers and distributors.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, applications, trials, opportunities, quotations, orders and sales activities.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, opportunity pipelines and market updates within defined timelines.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, market developments and customer requirements and provide relevant feedback to management.
- Ensure technical applications, trial results, procedures and customer success cases are properly documented.
- Achieve assigned sales, gross margin, new-customer development and payment-collection targets.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, Welding Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of B2B industrial sales / technical sales experience, preferably in one or more of the following areas:
- Maintenance & Repair welding
- Welding consumables and equipment
- Hardfacing and wear protection
- Industrial coatings
- Repair and maintenance solutions
- Industrial maintenance products
Experience dealing with industries such as cement, mining, steel, power, oil & gas, petrochemical, fabrication, quarrying and general heavy industry will be an advantage.
