Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE and QC/QA requirements across project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety hazards and quality observations.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, project requirements and HSE standards.
• Review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, JSA and Safe Work Procedures.
• Monitor PTW requirements and ensure safety controls before work commences.
• Identify hazards and implement effective control measures.
• Document safety observations and follow up on deficiencies.
• Support incident/near-miss investigations and corrective actions.
• Prepare Safety Inspection Reports, Incident Reports and other HSE records.
• Coordinate with management and teams on HSE/QA matters.

We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Engineer – QC/QA to join the project team.

Safety Engineer – QC/QA

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline, subject to project requirements.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Valid QC/QA approval from Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) is mandatory.
• Proven experience in project HSE, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance activities.
• Good knowledge of construction safety standards, risk assessment, inspection procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Experience dealing with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Strong reporting, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English, particularly in technical and HSE documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE and QC/QA requirements across project sites and work activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety hazards, unsafe practices, and quality-related observations.
• Ensure compliance with approved safety procedures, project requirements, and applicable HSE standards.
• Review and monitor Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Safe Work Procedures.
• Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) requirements and ensure necessary safety controls are implemented before work commences.
• Identify potential hazards associated with project activities and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct and document safety observations and follow up on identified deficiencies.
• Support incident and near‑miss investigations and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain Safety Inspection Reports, Incident Reports, Safety Observations, and other HSE documentation.
• Identify and follow up on non‑conformities related to safety and quality requirements.
• Prepare and monitor NCRs and ensure timely closure of identified issues.
• Follow up on corrective actions and verify their effective implementation.
• Coordinate with project management, construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders regarding HSE and quality matters.
• Conduct or coordinate Toolbox Talks, safety briefings, and HSE awareness activities for project personnel.
• Monitor subcontractors compliance with approved HSE procedures and project requirements.
• Participate in project HSE and quality meetings and provide relevant observations and recommendations.
• Support internal and external HSE/QC/QA audits and ensure all required records and documentation are available.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE and quality records.
• Monitor emergency preparedness and ensure compliance with approved emergency response procedures.
• Follow up on consultant/client safety observations and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented and closed.
• Prepare periodic daily, weekly, and monthly HSE/QC/QA reports.
• Promote a strong safety and quality culture across project activities.
• Support project handover by ensuring completion and proper documentation of HSE and quality records.

Compensation

Salary: Starting from SAR 10,000 per month, depending on qualifications, experience, and technical competency.
